Current Research

Do you teach or coach Pilates, yoga, powerlifting, Olympic lifting, or CrossFit?
If you are a professional teacher or coach of Pilates, yoga, powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, or Crossfit, you’re eligible to participate in a research study! You must have taught or coached for a minimum of one year in a professional (paid) capacity. Retired teachers or coaches welcome. If you participate in a one-hour interview about how you teach clients new skills, you may be eligible for a $20 gift card. I am a sociologist who studies how people learn to use their bodies in their particular professional capacity. I’d like to talk to you about how you learned to teach or coach this type of activity, how you teach the skills that it requires, and where you work. The interview will take place over Zoom and will be recorded.
